Let’s pretend they’re high schoolers all going to…Republic High (IDEK).

Korra’s a star athlete and is a member of every sports club that exists, her favorite being track and least favorite pole vaulting. Mako plays tennis in one of those indoor courts because he hates the sun and is a frequent visitor of the local shooting range. Bolin’s excellent build makes him perfect for wrestling but he also enjoys soccer on the side.

Panel 1: Bolin takes over the controls and accidentally sets off the camera. Korra's excited because this was obviously her idea and she's been wearing that huge smile since they sat down. Mako hangs back with a "can we get this over with?" expression, but secretly he thinks he's photogenic.

Panel 2: That is Bolin's impression of Mako. Mako, ever the good sport, sabotages Bolin's photo by doing the classic bunny ears because he is the type of dork who thinks that's funny. Korra just derps.

Panel 3: Korra pulls her den mother in and goes I WANT ONE WHERE WE ALL LOOK HUMAN SO BOLIN, NO IMPRESSIONS AND MAKO, NO FROWNING GODDAMMIT

FINALLY the colored version of this lineart thing I posted earlier IS DONE

Little backstory: One night I was in bed not-sleeping and I was like YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD BE FUN? IF WE DREW A KORRA AU.

Let me tell you, IT WAS NOT FUN.

Bolin's in a muscle tee to show off the guns, Mako's in a baseball shirt that emphasizes his shoulders (sorry guys, I HATE that scarf of his), and Korra rocks em sex bands AND ribbons.

I am embarrassed to tell you guys how long this took me.

I was supposed to have posted this yesterday (or sooner) but I kept changing my mind about several things. Every time I thought I was done, I changed colors, redid the lineart, adjusted sizes, blah di blah. AND LEMME TELL YOU, those shadows were pure torture. The logic of it all, the degree of color variation, etc etc I don't even know anymore. It came to a point where I decided my favorite color was potato

I'm still a little antsy about it but if I don't decide this is finished today, I may never move on.
